mixing, sorting, pouring, fake baking

I told you I had lots of ideas for the tons of sea glass that I have acquired.  I dumped it in the sensory tub and added some spoons.  The kids quickly dug out containers and an old muffin tin and began "baking" cupcakes and soup.  They spent a lot of time here today and kept coming back to it over and over again.  Great activity for sensory and tactile exploration, small motor and measuring (math).  You can use any shallow tub as a sensory table.  Even some mixing bowls will work.

The next day R added some sea shells.  I put in the egg carton and they did the filling and sorting.
